RE: Central Lancashire Local Plan Regulation 19 Consultation
Mon 24 Feb (2pm) to Mon 14th April (Midnight).
The Central Lancashire Authorities of Preston, South Ribble and Chorley are undertaking a review of the development plan(s) for the area and are working towards the preparation of a Joint Local Plan for Central Lancashire. This will be a single planning document comprising strategic and development management policies as well as site allocations for future development across the three authorities. Once adopted, the Local Plan will guide the future growth and development of the Central Lancashire area and replace the Central Lancashire Core Strategy (adopted in 2012) and the Local Plans/Site Allocations and Development Management Policies for the three Central Lancashire Authorities (all adopted in 2015).
We are now consulting on our Publication (Regulation 19) draft of the Local Plan.
At this stage of plan-making, representations in response to the consultation must focus upon whether the Plan is ‘sound’ (i.e. positively prepared, justified, effective and consistent with national policy) and legally compliant. Guidance on these matters is published on our webpage. Please note that that anonymous representations cannot be accepted in response to this consultation. You should also assume your representation will be published on the council’s website, including your name. No other personal details are published.
Consultation on this document will run from Mon 24 Feb (2pm) to Mon 14th April (Midnight).

We encourage you to respond to the consultation online because it will be much easier for us to understand and record what you want to say. There are a series of questions we would like you to consider answering as part of this consultation, but you only need to respond to those questions most relevant to you.
